Architect Dr. Yehia Wazeri is one of few of Environmental Architects in Egypt, he composed many books talking about environment, green architecture, Islam and Architecture, and more.
  • He is a lecture in faculty of Archeology in Cairo University, he make a big difference in his students personality, because he has an unique point of view in his way of teaching.

    He deigned many projects using climatic design and solar architecture, in designing buildings or villas, and used Islamic architecture in interior design, you can see all this in Projects links.
  • He wrote many articles in several magazines and news papers, you will find list of them in articles link.

• دبلوم الدراسات الإسلامية.
• مهندس استشاري في مجال التصميم الداخلي.
• خبير في مجال العمارة الإسلامية والبيئية ومباني المعوقين، والاعجاز العلمى فى القرآن والسنة.

• اللجان العلمية:
• شارك في أعمال المراجعة و الصياغة النهائية بلجنة إعداد كود مباني المعوقين بمركز أبحاث البناء عام 2000-2001م.
• اختارته منظمة المدن العربية عام 1991م ضمن اللجنة التي تقوم بالترشيح للجوائز المعمارية للمنظمة.

• الجوائز:
• حاصل على جائزة السلطان قابوس المعمارية عام 2002م.

• الأفلام المعمارية التسجيلية:
• قام بعمل فيلم تسجيلي عن العمارة بعنوان "كرنفال العمارة المصرية".

• الأبحاث و المؤلفات العلمية:
• له العديد من الأبحاث العلمية المنشورة كما شارك في مؤتمرات وألقى محاضرات في القاهرة والمغرب والسعودية وسلطنة عمان والأردن وأسبانيا.

• له العديد من المؤلفات و الكتب العلمية:

  1. خواطر الشيخ الشعراوى حول عمران المجتمع الإسلامي – جمع وتحليل (مكتبة التراث الإسلامي).

  2.  التعمير في القرآن والسنة.

  3. المدخل إلى تصميم مباني المعوقين.

  4. موسوعة عناصر العمارة الإسلامية – أربعة كتب ( مكتبة مدبولى).

  5. تطبيقات على عمارة البيئة.. التصميم الشمسي للفناء الداخلي (مكتبة مدبولى).

  6. التصميم المعماري الصديق للبيئة (مكتبة مدبولى).

  7. المجتمع و ثقافة العمران ( مؤسسة دار الشعب) (تم اختياره ضمن أفضل 40 كتاب لحفلات التوقيع في معرض مكتبة الإسكندرية الأول عام 2002م).

For several millenniums, Egyptians have lead the Architecture of the whole world, this bright history actually puts a load on our shoulders as contemporary Egyptian Architects and planners, if we really want to be proud of our ancestors, we have to do a positive step to regain the lead, or at least stop being lagging behind the whole world!

For more than two centuries now, we have been just importing Architectural ideas and technologies from the west (as we have been doing in all aspects of our life), and for no more than 50 years we began to explore our Architectural heritage to find a new source to learn. The step forward, which should be taken now, is to digest all resources of knowledge, and to introduce to the world a new Contemporary Egyptian Architecture:

OUR ARCHITECTURE!

This will not be done by a single person, it needs the cooperation of hundreds of minds and hands, may be a whole generation of Architects and Intellectuals have to contribute to such a process till we find a solid product.

That's why this site has been created.

To provide a link and an Information source to everybody who wants to contribute, and to open a gate to publish ideas and discuss them with others. It is open for any contribution, any Architect who wants to publish his work: projects, articles, papers or thesis, is welcome. It's also open for any news, or announcements about conferences, seminars, competitions, expositions or new products.

We welcome anyone want to share us, or want to publish his work in the site, just send us an email to know the way of publishing your works, papers, articles, ...etc.
